It was easy to fill this album up, but hard to name it. It has a decidedly somber vibe - not too heavy on production or electric instruments - it's pretty acoustic in fact. The cover photo, from a farm out in Sherman, Illinois seemed to capture some sort of essence though - here's a bare tree exposed amidst fall foliage, yet looking strong and alive - defiant, steadfast...
