I went to  Jordan Pond up in Maine in 1989 I think. Even in my younger years, it left an indelible impression. Likely, it was the tea and popovers with strawberry jam that cemented the memory all these years. My family, including my Grandmother hiked around the pond, and I remember it being quite a challenge back then. I hope to go back and sit there again. |
