34 Bench 1990
Washington Park (across from Music Hall)

Bench

This wood and iron bench was created by Quigley who came to Cincinnati in 1982 from Illinois to attend the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Its iron frame was inspired by Music Hall which is located directly across the street from the park. The painted wooden seats of purple heart represent the canal that played prominently in the park's history. This piece was partially funded by the City of Cincinnati Individual Artist Grant Program.
